My Story…

TV Stories

I began my career in Television way back in 2003, working my way up through the years to becoming an established Director and Producer.  I have self-shot documentaries and factual programmes as well as working on multi-camera, reality prime-time formats and award-winning shows for the likes of the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

I have filmed and produced hundreds of stories told by a colourful and fascinating array of people. I have always been inspired by telling, often unheard, stories through film - giving a voice and insight to the lives of those I have met along the way.

I still love making TV and I’m just as passionate about the programmes I produce and direct today as I was nearly 20 years ago.

Wildling + Wedding Years

Becoming a parent to my Wildling in 2015 changed my world (for the better, I hasten to add)! The unpredictable, nomadic lifestyle of being a Television Director was a challenge too far with a baby in tow.  I took a slight step back from the crazy but wonderful world of television for a few years and took an Events job at a wedding venue to regain a little work/life balance.

Still very passionate about filmmaking I was inspired by the weddings I saw and the desire to capture the unique love stories on these monumental days. I wanted to bring the same documentary quality to my films and create something that felt captured, raw and natural.

That Girl Films

Working in weddings introduced me to an abundance of incredible suppliers and local businesses. This got me thinking how I could help brands communicate their stories through film. I began filming events, promos, stories and reels and furthered my marketing skills in the digital world by embarking on a Digital Leadership course in 2018.  There is no doubting that film is a powerful means to effectively communicate brand stories, engage and increase reach.

That Girl Films was born out of my love of telling stories through film. Whether it’s for TV, a brand, charity, or a gorgeous couple on their wedding day, the drive is always the story and how to perfectly narrate and illustrate it beautifully.
